Ashburnham 2008 - a great weekend! |
A weekend of worship, teaching, fellowship and scrabble!
Well after a long time of planning and preparation we had a great
weekend away at Ashburnham. There were various highlights for me. The
worship was very sweet. It seemed that everyone present really engaged
with God in sung worship and it was good to be together. The teaching
by Mark, on the life of King David, was very relevant and personal. I
loved the way that he made the idea of evangelism very do-able and
Saturday evening was very powerful as we were challenged to forgive
others as God has forgiven us. I truly enjoyed being with the church
family for the weekend. I particularly enjoyed playing Scrabble and
learning words that i'm sure don't exist. Anyway, I'm not bitter that I
lost all of the games that I played!
The Youth and Children had their own teaching sessions and I know that they were drawn closer to the Lord.
I'm so glad that we had time to be with each other and enjoy life
together. I would love to hear stories and testimonies of what God said
or did in your life over the weekend. Email them to 'alan [AT]
stlukesonline.co.uk'. Thanks for coming and here's to living the life!
Love, Alan
