Open Walls Project

Thanks to everyone who filled in a questionnaire about the Church hall and the Church. The project group is looking at the responses at the moment, so look out for the results!

Background

St Luke's church has initiated a review of its buildings with a view to providing improved facilities to be available for use by the church and community. The buildings being considered are the church hall, 18 Exeter Street, St Luke's Advice service offices, St Luke's church building, and the vicarage.

The project is in partnership with Prestonville Community Association and is called 'Open Walls'. We have called it Open Walls to signify 'without boundaries – church facilities opened up for greater use, to be more usable and suitable for use, more accessible' .

The 'Open Walls' Project Group will identify church and community (parish) needs and opportunities through consultation, and propose how these needs should best be met (a 'statement of needs').

Timescale

The project group aims to draw up the statement of needs for church properties facilities by Spring 2008.

Your views

There will be a questionnaire and other consultation with Prestonville residents, church members and other relevant groups from November-January 2007. We need to hear your views on how the buildings should be developed and what activities and needs we should provide for.

More info

We aim to keep you informed through this website, articles in the Prestonville Post and church Beacon, and exhibitions of consultation results.
