Who's Jesus?

Jesus is the Son of God, his life teaches us to 'always hope'.

He was the most amazing, radical man that ever lived. He reached out to the untouchables of the society of his day, many of his teachings have shaped the world that we live in.

Jesus was considered too radical for the authorities, so they sentenced him to death, unjustly. He was crucified on a cross but by God's power he now lives.

What are his teachings?

Jesus embodied perfect love and perfect justice. Those two concepts are so mind-blowing, he tended to speak to his audience in the form of stories or parables.

For example, the good Samaritan takes care of a badly beaten Jewish man lying by the side of the road when his fellow Jews have turned a blind eye. The story answers the question of 'Who is my neighbour?' in the bible passage of  'Love your neighbour as yourself.' Your neighbour is everyone, regardless of race, sex or background.

Imagine a world where people put this into practice; there would be no inequality, no poverty, no injustice. Jesus' words are so simple, yet 2,000 years on, they seem so hard to do. Sometimes, it seems that the world will overpower love and replace it with a selfish rule of law, where only the strong will survive.

Jesus' death on the cross, shows that love can not be crucified. He died to make hope real.
