Worship

Worship is more than just a song.

Romans 12:1-2 says that we are to offer our selves, all of our selves as living sacrifices, giving everything to God, turning to Him at every moment, seeking Him every day, talking to Him all the time, reading His word, telling others about Him and fellowshipping with His people – this is Worship.

We want to take the focus away from us a little and focus our minds and our hearts on the creator. We aim to remind ourselves of the awesomeness of God and to always be thankful for all that he has done and is doing. It’s as we do this that we meet with Him and then move into the times of intimacy with Him, and it’s as we do this that we discover His heart – for the lost and those who don’t know Him.

To achieve this we are thinking every week ‘what fresh thing can we bring to the service this week.’ This enables people to engage with God in different ways rather than just having a ‘weekly routine’ and therefore just being ‘comfortable’ in their worship.
